Literature Text

So pure
So easily tainted

It's a blank canvas, a piece of paper
Just waiting for creations to come to life

Does it blind you? Does it shock you?
In its innocence, you have no place

Clear like snow;
Dirtied by mud-caked boots

I laugh at your ignorance
Hiding yourself behind a white-washed wall

Waiting for a redemption that will never come

What beautiful irony it holds
That using a clearly fake virtue has further stained your pitiful soul

Your only creations are your lies
Dancing that thin line between love and hate

White and black
It's that simple

Yet…

You've fallen; lost everything

Drown in the white abyss that will forever mock you

Sink in the darkness of your true colour

Black.
First contest piece I've ever done :la: It was incredibly enjoyable

This is for the colour contest being held at #TheOtherPoets, and I decided to choose the colour white for my poem ^^ I love the purity of white, but it's a shame that it's so easily dirtied

This is great, I love how you captured so many aspects of the color, kind of contrasting.
